For the week of Oct 5 – 9, 2026, various RFCCCY Collaborative and Board of Directors Members were thrilled to support the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, TBRI GA Collaborative and KPICD Ambassador organization, Restoration Rome, in producing Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner Training for professionals from around the state of GA. The week long in person, experiential training was the culmination of months worth of preparatory learning and interactive discussion for the participants.

RFCCCY Collaborative members and Board members served as Mentors to participants and as members of the team of Trainers along side partners from around the state.

We welcome the 51 new TBRI Practitioners who will help spark change using trauma wise principles and practices in their various sectors such as education, educator support, churches, courts, DFCS, child placement agencies, foster/adoptive/kinship family support, clinicians, child and family advocacy, and more!

The RFCCCY extends our congratulations to our local new Practitioners representing the Open Door Home, Hospitality House for Women, YMCA of Rome-Floyd County, Berry College, Three Rivers Church, Restoration Rome, and Floyd County Drug Court!

Congratulations to our neighboring GA Family Connection Collaborative Coordinator, Leslie Long, from Pickens County Family Connection on becoming a TBRI Practitioner!

Let us know if you are interested in the process for 2027! Stay tuned for how your organization could apply for the 2027 RFCCCY TBRI Practitioner Training Scholarship.

We also extend our congratulations and thanks to Restoration Rome and the TBRI GA Collaborative on a job well done!
